hello at first this one should be an entry for the "pepper project" of Artgerm & Imaginary Friends Studios. after I finished the both characters Pepper and Wanda, I liked this painting so mucht that I decided to use it for my personal gallery too. In my version I just changed some details like the hair and ears.

finally I finished this painting. it took my sleep for some nights.
at first it should be a submission for the pepper project of Artgerm. I did a lot of sketches for it and then I had the idea of the fairy pepper in the jungle. I started to paint my pepper and her jungle and then ... omg... I forgot the dead line for expose 6.
I really wanted to submit a new piece. so I upset my plans and changed the pepper in my own project. maybe all that for nothing, maybe not

this painting was at first very personally. I was with my friend kim in a park in our lunch time. kim has red hair and many freckles
I wanted to draw a funny character based on her look.
some days before I saw on TV a report about those toads called Bufo marinus, many ppl use this toads as intoxicant, while they lick on the toads back. red haired kim + my addiction for ice cream + toxic toad = painting idea.

I did the pencil sketch of this work with friends in a bar on a saturday night. we was all a bit squiffy. I should draw the "perfect" girl.... and that was the result. the bag on her face has no deep meaning, I was just a bit too drunk for drawing a face.
some days later I scanned the finished sketch to coloring it in photoshop. with this painting I had just two intentions, the first: I needed a topic that will be very hard for me. (tentacles, wather :S and last but not least the colours) and second: donīt use black in the coloration
I started with a simple sketch.
than I corrected some proportion, appointed a rough colour palette and started with the colouration.

this painting I did just for fun and my own pleasure.
I started with a little sketch during my lunch time. in the first 3 houres I had a complete other composition and colour palette and just by accident I changed it to a underwater pic and left my warm colours.
